Actors Guild of Lexingtonto celebrate Ron Hutchinson’s charming comedy Moonlight and Magnolias with its first ever “Scene and be Seen” event.

Lexington, KYActors Guild of Lexington will close its 24th season with Ron Hutchinson’s laugh out loud comedy on the making of the iconic film Gone With The Wind, Moonlight and Magnolias.  In honor of this upcoming production AGL presents its first ever “Scene and be Seen” event at historic Spindletop Hall.

Moonlight and Magnolias provides the ultimate insider's view of how three passionate men transformed the failing production of Gone with the Wind into an epic masterpiece.  The Academy Award Winner for Best Picture, Gone with the Wind premiered on the silver screen in 1939, the same year as an improbable wealth of cinematic classics:  Wuthering Heights, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, Beau Geste, Of Mice and Men, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Intermezzo, Another Thin Man, Gulliver's Travels, Ninotchka, Dark Victory, Only Angels Have Wings, Gunga Din, The Rules of the Game, The Women, Dodge City, and on and on.

At Spindletop Hall -- another landmark from the late 1930s -- Actors Guild of Lexington presents “Scene and Be Seen: The Golden Age of Hollywood”.  Join Scarlett and Rhett for a glamorous reception in the salon of antebellum Tara, and then enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the world of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Travel to the frontier west for a Stagecoach party, and follow the yellow brick road for food and fun with your childhood friends from the The Wizard of Oz.

Make sure to check out the raffle packages for each film, each ticket worth over $1000; meeting Dorothy could win you a trip to see Oprah!  Step into the scenes for photos with -- or as -- some of your favorite characters from classic films.  Sample a wide range of culinary delights, try one of the evening's specialty drinks, or order your favorites at one of two host bars. Scene and Be Seen with us; the party is sure to be an instant classic.

Ticket prices are $100 per individual and $175 for a couple and can be purchased by calling the AGL office at 859-233-7330.  The event takes place on Saturday the 26th April, 7.00pm-10.00pm at Spindletop Hall, 3414 Ironworks Pike, Lexington, Kentucky. Cocktail attire or costume.

Raffle Tickets are on Sale Now for $5 each. You do not have to be present at the event to win.
